GM-CTL Sealed Sliding Window

When users renovate their homes, they often replace old components with the same type. Most of the exterior windows in commercial housing built in China in the 1990s are sliding windows, so sliding windows account for a considerable share of old-housing renovation. However, traditional sliding windows seal poorly, and after long use the tracks collect dirt and slide poorly, which may even damage the whole window. Over the years the door and window industry has made several innovative attempts on sliding windows, and there are currently two categories on the market: one follows the principle of the traditional sliding window,
the lift-slide window, which improves the sealing performance of the sliding window to a certain extent when closed; the other imitates the principle of automobile sliding doors, which can first be tightly closed and then slid, fundamentally solving the problem of poor airtightness in sliding windows.

Product Details

This type of sliding window, which works like an automobile sliding door, is generally called a tilt-and-slide or parallel-sliding window. It was first developed by German hardware manufacturers using an external slide track combined with an inward-opening casement; it is simple in structure and easy to operate, but its cost has remained very high, and although the external track has a decorative cover, it still affects the overall appearance. Domestic manufacturers followed this principle and developed parallel-sliding windows with the track prefabricated inside the profile, called drift windows; although this solved the appearance problem, building the track into the profile greatly increased the difficulty of making the window, making mass production basically impossible. The hardware for such built-in tracks is also costly, and the built-in design gives the moving part poor load-bearing capacity and a very high repair rate, which further raised the cost of the whole window. With imperfect technology and persistently high costs, this drift window system has never been able to be promoted widely.

Leveraging the advantages of the integrated aluminum alloy window system, we combined a built-in slide track with the sliding principle of traditional sliding windows and launched a high-performance parallel-sliding window that seals tightly when closed and slides smoothly when open. It opens and closes comfortably and slides flexibly. The GM-CTL high-performance parallel-sliding window inherits and brings out the close-and-lock characteristic derived from the automobile sliding door principle, selectively avoids the respective defects of external and built-in slide tracks, and takes a different path to fully express the high performance of parallel-sliding windows, providing public building areas with excellent airtightness and a sliding window solution.
